Mars was adopted as a young puppy and apparently not well socialized, since she became a bit skittish and reactive when alarmed. This resulted in her biting someone that startled or frightened her, and we'll probably never know the whole story. With us, Mars has been sweet and affectionate, though she's still learning that leashes are not a bad thing. She is 6 1/2 months old and weighs 39 pounds as of early May, 2025. We are obviously not recommending Mars for a home with young kids, nor one that isn't reasonably calm.
