Mei first came to our attention in late July 2021. She was on the list of dogs her distant animal shelter was requesting rescue for. She resembled a cropped red female Doberman, though with a different head and body style, but we continued to notice her and finally became concerned when that shelter was overfull and her remaining days were down to few. Mei had been impounded as a stray dog and was unclaimed, hardly surprising since her skin was a mess and she was in poor condition overall. Her shelter truly managed her health rehabilitation well, so that by the time we arranged to take her, she was 75% through her medical issues. Mei was a little spooky on arrival here, typical of dogs with mild fear aggression, but she now realizes we are a friendly environment, and she bunks well with two Dobie companions and is submissive to them. Mei will do best in a home that isn't super-crazy and high stress, and we think she'll blossom! She is about 3 years old, probably Doberman and Queensland Heeler (Cattle Dog), as she's built roughly like the latter breed.
