Mimosa is finally ready to find a home! Our happy girl came to us in really rough condition. She was terrified, emaciated, sick and had an old hip injury. Incredibly, Mimosa handled every challenge in stride and with a happy demeanor. Her age is still a bit of a mystery since we can't tell if her neglected condition caused her to appear older than she is but our best guess is that she is an adult around 3-4 years old. She had surgery to relieve the pain in her hip and her leg gets stronger each day. It may never be 100% but she is still active. Mimosa loves her people dearly and is a devoted companion but she is also a surprisingly excellent watchdog. She can live with other dogs happily but she can also be quite dominant and she doesn't appreciate the companionship of all dogs. If you have another dog in the home, please bring them along for introductions. Mimosa's transformation isn't quite complete until she has found a loving home to spend the rest of her life.
