Most folks reading this know that we're primarily a Doberman Pinscher rescue, but every now and then there will be that very special dog of a different breed (or breeds) that cannot be denied. In this case, it's Sasha, a 2-year-old German Shepherd that was posted by her shelter on a 72-hour plea. Her time had run out. We had to rescue her on her last day because it would have been unforgivable not to. Her behavioral evaluation at her shelter repeatedly described Sasha as having a "relaxed body" and "soft eyes." She sought attention from her handlers and exchanged "soft greetings" with the other dogs in the play yard. In addition to being wonderful behaviorally, Sasha is also quite beautiful. There are many, many German Shepherds needing homes everywhere, but this particular girl, in our opinion, gets 5 stars out of 5 and will make her new owner very happy to have found her. For both her and her new owner, love is on the horizon!
