Sherlock was rescued from an upstate animal shelter where he had already overstayed his stray hold. He's about 7 years old but still has energy between his naps. Though he's on the small side for a male Doberman, weighing only about 60 pounds, he has the build of the European Dobermans with a more solid build than the all-American-bred dogs. Sherlock has shared a kennel with a couple of different female dogs but he's not a "dog's dog" so he really doesn't need to have another dog around to be happy. Sherlock would be a great dog for someone who can appreciate his independent, calmer nature and doesn't need him to be social with other dogs he doesn't know.
