Yes, we are primarily a Doberman Pinscher rescue, and no, Teddy is not a Doberman, but at the point where we saw his sweet face still showing up with 72 hours to live, we simply couldn't turn him down. His shelter behavioral evaluation portrayed him as easy to handle, happy and friendly, very dog-social, mellow and non-dominant. When we arrived at his animal shelter to rescue him, Teddy (at that time called Henry) was actually giving doggie kisses to a small German Shepherd mix that was kenneled with him. If he has a behavioral flaw, it can only be that he barks when he's excited. Physically, one ankle bends somewhat to the side, the result of an old, healed injury, which doesn't appear to bother him at all. Teddy is about one year old and weighs about 50 pounds.
