Theia's ex-owner brought her to us from upstate California eleven days after adopting her from an animal shelter, where she was in immediate need of adoption or rescue because they were over capacity, like everyone else is now, and the woman thought she could foster her until she could find the right "forever" home for Theia. A family emergency came up for the woman, who had decided that Theia was "too much dog" for her to keep longer term anyway. Due to input from the adopter we have learned more about this pretty young 10-month-old (as of mid-July, 2023) Doberman, whose name means "goddess" in Greek. Theia is housebroken, good with other dogs and kids, isn't destructive, is a good watchdog but not "overprotective," and knows a few commands. During her short stay with us it appears she may be somewhat reactive to other dogs she encounters on leash. Her current weight is about 60 pounds.
