Whiskey came to us because of outreach by a small upstate animal shelter that we rarely hear from because they care about their dogs so much that they try to place almost every adoptable dog themselves. But once in a while their numbers are so high that they reach out about good dogs like Whiskey that really deserve a good home. He's about 1 year old, tall and lean at about 70 pounds. We were told that he was miserable in the animal shelter, undoubtedly missing the home he once had. While here he has enjoyed two female kennelmates and seems comfortable, so he may be a dog that hates being without companionship for long periods. Whiskey is active and would make a good hiking and/or running companion for an active adopter.
