About Winnie

Born in August 2021, Winnie is 8 months old. She has been with us since she was 12 weeks old. She is fully housebroken, knows basic commands like; sit, lay down, shake, stay, no, leave it, and how to fetch. Winnie loves playing fetch with tennis balls and loves to try and play basketball. Winnie is kennel trained and sleeps in her kennel at night. She is leash trained and does well on walks and will stay close with you when she is off leash. Winnie is great with other dogs and has been going to the dog park since she was fully vaccinated in December 2021. We have a small elderly chihuahua that she lives with and while she can be rambunctious, she would never try to hurt the chihuahua, but she can be annoying with her curiosity and desire to play. Winnie has all of her vaccinations including rabies, dog flu, leptospirosis, and Bordetella if someone wanted to leave her at doggy day care. She attends doggy daycare twice a week and loves it. She is microchipped and we can provide the information to switch our contact info for a new family. Winnie is spayed and has a clean bill of health. We can provide all health records to the new owner.

Winnie needs a home where there is another large dog(s), a child to play with, or someone who works from home. She needs a yard and space to run around and would not do well in a small space unless she was able to go out on errands and be physically active during the day. She has a lot of energy and needs a home that has the ability to spend time playing with her every day. Ideally she is with someone who is very active and likes to go on hikes or something to be active with her.

My husband and I work full time and spend time with her in the morning and evening but she requires more energy and attention than we can provide at this time. She also wants to play with my elderly chihuahua who was a rescue and not interested in other dogs at all. Because of these reasons, we think it’s best to find Winnie a forever home with a person/family who has the energy level to match hers.

We will provide all medical records, info on switching over microchip contact info, leashes/harness, kennel, play toys including puzzles, treats, and enough dog food to last throughout transition into any new food the owner wishes to provide.
